Approximately 1,195 acres of productive farmland will be offered at auction Thursday, April 23, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company marketing the land and managing the auction.
The tillable land, which will be available for farming for the 2015 crop year, will be offered in seven tracts in three locations in Carroll, Lafayette and Ray Counties. The tracts, which are 90 percent tillable, range in size from 32 to 406 acres. Also offered will be a 1.5-acre tract with a 1,000-square-foot home, a pole barn and an insulated shop.
The real estate auction will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23, at Moose Lodge 1161, 2510 Main Street, Lexington. A related 3 p.m. auction of farm equipment on the same day will feature, tractors, planters, sprayers, and other equipment. The equipment auction will take place at 56327 MO-10, Hardin.
"These seven farmland tracts are suitable for investors or for farmers, who may wish to incorporate one or more into their operations. Bidders will be able to make offers on any individual tract or to combine any of the seven farmland tracts," said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company.
Online bidding will be available for both the real estate and the equipment auctions. Those seeking to bid online must register one week in advance.
Schrader personnel will be available to provide detailed information from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, and from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 22.
