Auctions of two Illinois farms set for Oct. 20
Two Illinois farms will be offered in separate auctions Monday, Oct. 20, launching a week-long series of farmland auctions that will also include land in the Delta, Texas and Colorado. Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company will market the properties and manage the auctions.
The Illinois farmland auctions will include offerings of 236 acres in Warren County, and of 419 acres in Sangamon County.
"Both of these farms have excellent soils with high crop productivity indexes, as well as grain storage," said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company. "We'll also be offering both farms in tracts, with most tracts smaller than 100 acres and none larger than 145 acres. This means these auctions will be of interest to local farmers as well as investors. For each of the farms, bidders will be able to make offers on any combination of tracts or the entire farm," he said.
The auction of the Warren County land is set for 10 a.m. at the American Legion Post 136 in Monmouth. The auction for the Sangamon County land will begin at 6 p.m. at the Sangamon County Fair Main Building in New Berlin. Online bidding will be available for both auctions.
Schrader personnel will be available to provide detailed information at the Sangamon County property Sept. 25 and Oct. 8; and at the Warren County property on Sept. 24 and Oct. 9.
The Illinois auctions are part of the offering of approximately 13,450 acres, including land in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Colorado.
