Auction of 419 acres of recreational land in Clay and Vigo counties set for Nov. 4
Lakes, woodlands and cropland will be among six tracts of recreational land set for auction in Indiana's Clay and Vigo counties on Monday, Nov. 4. Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company will market the property and conduct the auction.
The land - approximately 419 acres in all - will be offered in six tracts, which range in size from 13 acres to 130 acres. Five tracts - a total of approximately 339 acres - are contiguous and are located along I-70 and Bloomington Road. "Taken as a whole, these tracts would be excellent for someone who wishes to have a private hunting and fishing retreat. They have lakes, open areas, a duck hole, and even a grove of Walnut trees," said Brad Horrall, the Schrader sale manager. A 42-acre tract consists of a combination of cropland and partially wooded meadows.
The remaining 80-acre tract, located to the east and near I-70, has a private lake, open land and woods.
"People in the upper Midwest love to hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors, and these are some very nice tracts with great fishing, trails, and hunting. Immediate possession will be available for the heart of deer season," said Horrall.
The auction will begin at 6 p.m. at the Wabash Family Sports Center, 599 South Tabortown Road, Terre Haute, Ind. Individuals seeking additional information may visit www.schraderauction.com or call 800-451-2709.
Schrader personnel will be available to provide detailed information and guide inspections from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, and Monday, Oct. 28.
