DECEMBER 4, 2007: PAYNE, OH- The Brady family: John E. Brady, James F. Brady, and Mary L. Pierczynski sold their childhood home situated five miles south of Payne, Ohio at auction on the evening of December 4, 2007. The land auction attracted approximately 150 people with over 30 bidders registered to compete to purchase the Brady Farm, which sold for $5,668 per acre. The farm was offered in six tracts and with Schrader's multi-tract method, the buyers had the option to purchase one tract or any combination of the total six tracts. The strong, competitive bidding from buyers throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois resulted in one successful buyer from Mercer County, Ohio.
